All DrumMaker hoops are sold as a single hoop, we never force you to purchase a pair. The black finish is a black/chrome, gun-metal type look. We avoid the powder coat finish on the hoops to prevent possible chipping with extened use. NOTICE: It is very common in our industry for black drum parts to have a wide range of color variation from part to part.
