This part goes onto the side of a snare drum , and is used to anchor the snare wires on the bottom drum head. They work with a Butt plate on the opposite side of the drum Mounting Screws ARE included. As of 4/26/2006 Ludwig has sky rocketed the cost of this model. As a consolation, we are selling this model very near our cost to help out our customers. We suggest that you consider our model 5017 strainer as a less costly option.
